Compassion, Connection, and Community Leadership
A Message from the Clinical Director
Mental Healthcare Connections of New Jersey, LLC (MHCNJ) was established on February 14, 2020. After several years of development, the agency is now rapidly growing. MHCNJ is not about one individual — it is about a team of supports working together for a common purpose: providing high-quality services delivered by passionate professionals who are dedicated to serving children and families.
I would like to thank everyone who has supported MHCNJ as we approach our one-year milestone of actively providing services through CSOC. What started as one IIC provider in May 2025 has since grown into an expanding team. MHCNJ remains aligned with the wraparound approach and the Children’s System of Care’s standards.
This agency represents integrity, professionalism, and transparent communication — qualities that are needed now more than ever to support children and families. We will continue moving forward with youth strengths, growth, and success as our guiding focus.
Warm regards,
Sean S. Lee, LCSW

Welcome to February
As we move through February, we continue to strengthen our mission of providing clinically sound, community-based, and youth-centered services across New Jersey. At MHCNJ, we remain committed to supporting children and families through integrity, professionalism, and collaboration with community partners.
February is also a month that reminds us of the importance of resilience, leadership, and unity — values that align with the foundation of our work every day.
Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. — Leadership Through Service
In January, we recognize and honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., whose work continues to inspire communities across the nation. Dr. King reminded us that lasting change is built through courage, service, and a commitment to justice, dignity, and human worth.
At MHCNJ, we carry forward these principles by supporting youth and families through care that is rooted in respect, empathy, and the belief that every individual deserves access to stability, opportunity, and hope.
Dr. King’s message continues to resonate today — especially in the work of strengthening families, uplifting children, and building healthier communities through collaboration.
“Everybody can be great… because anybody can serve.” — Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Staff Spotlight
This month, we would like to recognize the dedication of our staff who continue to provide consistent, compassionate, and clinically grounded support to children and families across New Jersey.
Thank you for your professionalism, teamwork, and continued commitment to the MHCNJ mission.
Community Leadership — Youth-Led Growth & Positive Change
At MHCNJ, we believe youth are not only recipients of support — they are future leaders, innovators, and community builders. In 2026, we look forward to expanding opportunities that encourage youth voice, youth-led projects, and positive leadership development.
When children and teens are given space to lead, create, and contribute, they develop confidence, accountability, and a stronger sense of purpose. Through community partnership and family engagement, we can help youth build skills that support long-term growth — not only for themselves, but for the communities they will shape for years to come.
Moment of Inspiration
“If someone — or even a group — tells you that you cannot achieve a goal you are passionate about, simply disregard it and continue moving forward with your dreams and aspirations. As the saying goes, ‘We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of the dream…’”
Wellness Tip of the Month
Creating Calm at Home:
• Keep a consistent daily routine (meals, schoolwork, and bedtime) to support stability, structure, and emotional regulation.
• Prioritize connection before correction — even 10 minutes of calm, positive time together can reduce stress and strengthen cooperation.
